A dedicated portal offers employees interesting information even before their first day at work. And that's even before access to internal IT systems has been set up:

Information on assigned mentors and important contacts in the company (e.g. IT, accounting, HR, etc.).
General information about the company serves as orientation and increases pleasant anticipation for the first day of work
Overview of personal information of the onboardee to check and complete for master data management. Electronic signatures are also possible.
